Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Tanner has reached another developmental milestone.
He is now talking on a cell phone. He received it as an early birthday present yesterday. I had to run to Target and buy one because I couldn't stand his whining everytime I was on the phone -- he literally cried tears when I wouldn't give it to him! I ripped the new phone out of the package as soon as it was paid for and he talked and talked the whole way to the car. He actually holds it up to his ear (backwards) and says "Hello" before shouting an entire conversation into it. I've been wondering if he thinks that I shout when I talk on the phone, since he's obviously imitating me. Too funny. The things you learn about yourself from your kids ...

Anyways...
Jon swears Tanner took his first step today. I didn't see it (of course). How is it that I am with Tanner 23.9 hours a day, and the first 5 minutes that Jon is with him without me, he decides to actually do something spectacular. Not fair! I'm still a little skeptical that this actually happened. I'll keep my eyes peeled for more in the next few days.

He is so cute, talking on the phone. Owen has long conversations with us too. Of course we have no idea what he is saying, but he repeats the same "words" a lot. If only I spoke his language!
Have a great time with Tanner's first birthday. What fun!! Tell Grammy and Gramppy?? we said hello and that they must really be old to have a grandchild turning one!!

He's so cute! I CAN'T believe he's turning one tomorrow!!!!
I'm sure it has gone by so quickly for you. I know 4 mos has gone by super fast for us.
Have a great day! Can't wait to see photos of his party!
This is adorable! Love to hear that someone else's child has trouble with volume. We have one volume in our house--LOUD! I swear boys come with a different setting than girls! :) lol. Hope the cutie has a great b-day tomorrow!
Happy Birthday to Mr. Tanner! I can't believe that he is one! It is truly amazing how quickly time flies. He is such a cute little boy with big, bright eyes and a happy smile. It is fun to listen to their "phone" conversations and to try to interpret what they are saying. We will be up in Chicago, actually outside in Cary, in a few weeks and would love to try to see you if you aren't too far. Chicago is so big and I don't know the area very well, so we'll have to talk and see if we can make it work and if you'll be in town. I think we are leaving Friday the 18 or whatever that Friday is and staying through that Sunday. Let me know what you think!!
Happy 1st Birthday Tanner!!
Love, Riley and Lincoln :)
