I just finished A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini over the weekend.
I. LOVED. IT.
This will definitely be added to my list of favorites ... right up there with The Red Tent. It was a beautiful story about the lives of two women living in Afghanistan from before the Soviet Invasion all the way through 9/11. I wasn't really a fan of The Kite Runner, which is also by Hosseini, but this book stole my heart! Read it if you get a chance!

I just had to comment...I recently finished reading A Thousand Splendid Suns. I too, loved it! I simply couldn't put it down (I think I might have lost some sleep trying to finish it). I just started The Kite Runner and have heard that The Red Tent is a great read as well.
Reading your blog brings smiles to my face, and your little guy is a cutie!
