We have been doing really well so far. Tanner is doing great with the baby. He is very gentle and loving with him and doesn't ever seem to be jealous or upset if I'm holding him. Keep in mind, though, that he's been getting TONS of attention from Daddy, Grammy, and Aunt Lauren. On the other hand, his behavior in other areas has been extremely difficult -- all-out tantrums at every turn. This doesn't seem to stem from the baby -- more-so from a disruption in his schedule, a desire for independence, and just being tired -- they seem to happen right before naptime or bedtime. I know it's time to start time-outs soon, I just don't know if I have what it takes right now to be consistent with them ...
Landon is doing wonderfully. I can already see he's getting bigger which makes me a little sad! He is just the sweetest little thing and every time I look at him my heart melts. I think I appreciate the time I have with him even more than I did with Tanner because I know now how FAST he's going to grow up! Even though I literally have to DRAG myself out of bed at night to go in a feed him, I treasure that special quiet time we have together. The hardest thing about being on my own during the day will be having to set him down a lot and not being able to cuddle him whenever I want. I do have a new hotsling coming in the mail this week, so I'm hoping that will allow me to be close to him while still being able to play with Tanner.
Well, I better go get our dinner dishes done so I can relax and get to bed at a decent time. I'm a BEAR if I don't get my sleep! Enjoy the pics of my sweet boys!

Oh my gosh, Rachel, I just adore seeing the two brothers together. They are adorable and Tanner looks so happy! Just wait until little Landon is big enough to play with him--what bliss! Our older two boys are the best of friends and entertain one another all day. While you'll feel a little crazier now, it will be worth it! Try to remember that when you're in the thick of it tomorrow and in the coming days. I'll be thinking of you and offering up prayers...
Awwwww! They're so sweet! We're also glad our boys are close together now, although the first few months can be a little bit challenging. Just don't worry about doing everything because then you'll just feel guilty. I'll know you'll do great because you're such an awesome mom!

The pictures are absolutely adorable! I love them!
Let me know how you enjoy the hotsling. I am thinking of getting one. I've heard great things about them!
Rachel,
The pictures are adorable. We'll be offering up prayers for you. You'll be fine. Just remember, if either one of them have to cry a few minutes because the other has a more urgent need, it is OK! You can't do everything at once...you'll do great, just make sure to be easy on yourself as you figure out your schedule. It won't be long until they are playing together.
Misery loves company...call me if you need to vent or just to make sure your toddler's tantrums are normal (I assure you they are)!
Don't worry to much... every mom with 1+ kids has had to venture into that role and we have all mostly survived and each day we will be presented with new challenges! Tantrums are not unusual and any method of dealing with comes down to consistency! There is no way around it. Consistency brings results! I am sure you will do a great job!
They are both SO cute! I love how Tanner is kissing Landon :-) I'm going to have to get some notes from you on how to handle 2!! I can't even imagine! Good luck and have fun :-)
Rachel! He is adorable! I'm so glad things went smoothly- what a great answer to prayer! Keep the pictures coming! (not like you don't have other things to do!!)
When my 10 month old was just a newborn, I was in such a hurry for him to "grow up" so he could interact, smile, etc. But I know that next time round I am going to enjoy the newborn phase a lot more, because, like you said, I will know how fast it flies by, and appreciate how nice it is that the baby stays put and isn't a little Tazmanian devil! It so great to see all these pictures!
