So I read today in the paper that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had their baby yesterday (named "Suri"??). And I can't seem to get it out of my mind. I know it is none of my business and I must have a pretty boring life to speculate about celebrities (I literally read People magazine cover to cover while sitting in my car as soon as I retrieve it from my mailbox each week. I know -- sad!) But anyway, more than anything, I've been wondering about Tom's other children, Connor and Isabella, whom he adopted with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. I mean seriously, what would it be like if Tom Cruise was your father, and Nicole Kidman was your mother? And who do they live with anyway? Tom or Nicole? You never hear or see anything about either of them. And every time you see Nicole, she is running around with Keith Urban, looking totally unattached to any children. Hmmmm...... I watched Primetime last weekend where Tom was being interviewed by Diane Sawyer. He sounded so genuinely excited for this baby to come. But really, how much time do you think he'll spend with it when all is said and done? Just random thoughts, of course, but the whole thing totally got me wondering ....
And for something completely ironic -- Brooke Shield's baby was born yesterday also. Wierd!

I have to say that I was wondering the exact same thing! I think Connor and Isabella will probably turn out like Paris Hilton with no respect for anyone (not even herself.) Rich kids with very little parenting. How sad.
Yeah it seems like they are getting swept under the rug...that whole Tom and Katie thing is such a circus. I'm glad that she finally had this child so maybe will stop hearing about Tom's crazy ideas...like buying his own sonogram machine and telling a magazine (supposedly jokingly) that he planned on "eating the placenta"...disgusting. Tom has definitely taken a step off the deep end and I don't know what to think about Katie Holmes anymore! Is she still her own person?
I read that both of Tom's kids have "roles" with the new baby and are going to be very involved in taking care of it - so per that article its almost scary the other way, not ignoring them but making them care givers to an extent. I do think its strange you don't hear about them at all or see them with their parents (I didn't even know they had adopted the kids! until this whole baby thing). But maybe it is good that they are out of the lime light and being raised "normally" in Australia or something. I do think the Katie and Tom couple is a farce, I hope they don't get married and she remebers how important her family is.

I totally agree with you. It is sad for me to admit, but I also read my People magazine from cover to cover the day it arrives in the mailbox. I used to buy it at the store, but Brady realized it was cheaper to get a subcription, so now it arrives in my mailbox each week! I have no idea where Connor and Isabella live. There are always pictures of Nicole with Keith in Nashville and lots of sightings of them, but never with the kids. I think Tom has Katie so brainwashed and that she has no personality of her own. They are such a strange couple.
By the way, Katie and Brooke delievered their babies at the same hospital on the same day! I just hope Katie doesn't get any depression!
I wonder about how his other two kids must feel. Now that Tom has a bio child, they are constantly referred to as the "adpoted" children. That must be hard for a kid. But then, I don't know if children of celebrities are your average kids...
