Since I don't have a girl, I can't tell you what they are like, but brace yourself. The older they get the more crazy, heart attack producing things they do.
So funny!! Brendan used to do that same thing on his little car! Same age as Tanner, too... Now he's into seeing how many steps high he can jump from without falling... I wish I could answer your question, but I'm there with you :-) I still can't believe I haven't been to the ER for stitches...I'm sure that's coming soon for both of us!
I can reassure you that Kennedy does the exact same thing. I've always said she was a boy though! That girl climbs and scales anything. She pushes the barstools around the kitchen to climb on the countertops! She does stand on her Dora bike, her shopping cart, whatever she can find.
Hi Rachel! I'm just catching up on your blog. 1) Strollers. I got a Mac double umbrella for $65 at a garage sale. You can find really good deals out there on things barely used. I echo the not great for new borns but as a long term investment it is SO worth it. They love being side by side (my girls hold hands), easy to fold/unfold, has rain gear. It is awesome. I recommend you get the secure harness whatever one you get because with 2 it is harder to chase the 2/3 year old that decides they want to get out of the stroller and run. It is important to have them secure. Not that I have ever had to chase my angel while the other is in the stroller ;) 2) Bed - we totally did the lock the door. T would scream for an hour then sleep on the floor for a couple then we would move her to her bed. Now she sleeps in it like a charm. Sounds like you had a great transition. Good for you! 3) Recommend getting some sort of noise loud vaporizer, sound machine, something. That helped T sleep through the new baby's crying. 4) have you thought about a play kitchen for T? I know it may sound girlie but my girls cook there while I cook for real and its a little less mess. (sometimes) 5) Sounds like you are doing great! I miss you!!!!!
Too funny, Rachel! Interestingly, my oldest has been the more sheepish of the two boys. #2 has his older brother to play off of and is our daredevil, no doubt. Just recently I found him jumping off an elevated bed onto his butt on the floor. Ouch! It totally didn't phase him! :) Maybe little Landon will be more like a Diet Tanner...?! :) Let's hope! Prayers!
