I do dress a little bit better -- jeans and a sweater -- if I'm going to Bible Study or something important, but most days I look like I'm on my way to the gym. The stylists on Oprah today would be mortified!

What Not To Wear
I know that one of these days, I'll probably find myself on the Oprah Show or something like it -- having been turned in by a friend, one of my sisters, or even my husband for the way I dress. I used to get dressed up everyday when I worked -- not a suit or anything, but business casual. These days, I have a new uniform -- black leggings, a long-sleeve tee, and a hoody (I have several of each). My new motto has become "Why waste an outfit?" My husband even told me that he looks forward to Sundays all week because I get dressed up for church. :) I know -- it's so sad!

Ha! I'll be sitting right next to you. Want to know what I am wearing this very minute? Black yoga pants and a t-shirt. The worst part? My t-shirt says "Lakeshore Lancers Spirit Week, '93." Yep, that's right my shirt is from the 8th grade. Oh yeah, and my outfit usually does not include a bra!
That's great and I totally know how you feel!! I'm also in sweats (Ty's, because mine don't fit) and a "Lakeshore Soccer" t-shirt from 4th grade (yes, seriously 4th grade) :)!! Those Lakeshore shirts must be pretty comfy. Hope you all are doing well!
I too am in yoga pants and a tshirt...which is actually a step up b/c I'm actually wearing a shirt and not just my nursing bra as this is our first week home with our Lil Boo and we're trying to figure out the whole nursing thing!! Thanks for your advice Rachel!! You're so encouraging. Miss you tons!
Hey Rachel,
I so love your blog today!! In fact your little outfit is much cuter than the little jogging suits I wear each day. I have about 4 that I rotate :). I just bought a new one today - jogging shorts w/ a long, short sleeve hoodie :) - figured I had to prepare for Spring! Ann Taylor Loft has some cute jogging type stuff right now. I too try to dress up for bible study, etc., BUT it is just not near as comfy when romping around w/ little ones.
Love seeing pics of your sweet little guy!
XOXO,
Kristin V.
My husband says I wear so many jogging suits I belong in a Wes Anderson movie...heh.
The curse of staying home most of the day: I work from home, and sometimes barely make it out of my PJs by noon...I feel bad for my husband too. I really need to make more of an effort.
