Our Weekend in Pictures

These two crazy kooks came into town and BOY, were we excited to see them!

We spent Friday afternoon wine tasting at several of the wineries close to home.

It was so much fun, but by the time we finished our fourth winery, we were ready to be done.

So we went home, ordered pizza for dinner, and closed the evening with a campfire and some smores. Tanner had his first roasted marshmallows and he LOVED them!

On Saturday morning, we woke up and spent the morning talking over coffee. (My favorite thing to do with my mom and sisters). We also took turns snuggling this little love.

Then, we finally got ourselves together and made our way to my dad's boat for some fishing. Tanner had a ball with the minnows and spent most of the time leaning over the bait bucket, playing with them.

We were fishing for perch, but didn't catch very many. I wonder if it had something to do with this little man splashing his feet over the back of the boat with his daddy.

After fishing was through, we went home and quickly cooked out, bathed the kids, and got them ready for bed. Grammy volunteered to stay home so that the rest of us could head back out on the lake to enjoy fireworks.
Sunday came way too fast. Tanner spent the morning playing with Uncle Daniel. My dad built a putting green in our backyard several years ago, and cut down one of his putters for Tanner to start using. Look out, Tiger!

We spent most of the afternoon getting ready for my grandparents to come over for lunch, which is always a treat.

After we ate, we headed to the orchard down the street to pick some sweet cherries.

This guy stayed behind.

Before we said goodbye, it was time for one more spin on Tanner's jeep. And we got a little preview of next summer. Tanner loved having a sidekick!

Bye Bye Grammy and Poppy! Thanks for an awesome weekend! We love you!

Looks like a fun weekend was had by all! I am sad though, because we were at my parents house, you know, about 1 mile from your parents! Kennedy would have loved to play with Tanner and I would have loved to cuddle Landon! I know how quickly the weekends go and how hard it is to do everything you wanted to get to though. Hopefully, next time we are both in town, we can have a little visit!

Awesome entry, Rachel! I wished we lived closer so our little guys could grow up together. My favorite pic was the one of Grandma and Landon. Precious!!!!

Looks like a lot of fun Rachel. It's so wonderful that you are so close to your family and that you can celebrate these holidays together.

Looks like a fantastic weekend with the fam! I especially loved the pic of Tanner and Landon in the jeep- you will love seeing them play together next summer. Joey and Max are getting to be best buddies and Max just started saying Joe Joe, although it sounds a bit more like Go Go, but we'll take it!
