Birthday Fun, Family Style

This year, I agonized over whether or not I should throw a birthday party for Tanner. After lots of thought, we decided to have a celebration with just family. I'm so glad we did! Last Saturday we celebrated Tanner's birthday with the grandparents and Aunt Kat at the beach. It was one of the best days that I can remember in a long time. Perfect, actually. On Monday (Tanner's actual birthday), Jon stayed home from work and we spent the day as a family, playing with Tanner's new gifts, going for a ride on the train, and picnicking in the park. Perfect, as well. I hope Tanner enjoyed his celebrations as much as I did.

And I hope that you enjoy the slideshow -- make sure you turn on your speakers!

Looks like a lot of fun! That's nice that Jon was able to take off work and be with T on his birthday.

Great pictures! Looks like the birthday was a success. It sounds like you had an especially good day riding on the train and enjoying your picnic.
